My Teaching Philosophy Essay - 1124 Words

My Teaching Philosophy Education. What is Education? What does it mean to be an educator? Education is a field of study dealing with methods of teaching and learning. I feel that education goes far beyond the teaching aspect. It is my job as a teacher to make sure that every student has a better understanding and knowledge towards helping others. In doing this I plan on teaching them strict morals such as how to be respectful, considerate, and appreciative of themselves and others throughout their life. In this paper, I plan to describe to you my personal beliefs on being a successful teacher, my goals and aspirations, and my philosophies on how I plan to teach each of my students and help them feel more confident about†¦show more content†¦So many children today grow up in homes where no one cares whether they are behaved or if they act like animals. I feel that as a teacher it is my obligation to show those students what real respect is. In order to have a successful classroom, I plan to have strict guidelines on how things are managed. My students need to know the basic rules along with the other ones that I plan to install. One of those rules is to always be respectful to yourself, your fellow students, and to the teacher. I want a classroom that constantly has a positive attitude. My students will show their respect to me just as much as they do their fellow students. We, as a whole class, will encourage and help others to succeed to their full potential. I feel that doing this is so important because it not only makes the other students you are helping feel better about themselves, but it will also make you have more confidence in the work that you are doing as well. What some teachers dont realize is that sometimes a little respect can go very far with how much knowledge that child develops in your classroom. From my own personal experiences, I have learned that it is important to help boost a young chil ds confidence. I remember one teacher always telling me I was so smart, but that I could do better. I wish she would have just helped me to become the better student, study more, ask more questions, and be more confident.
